Frequently Asked Questions – Celebration Domes

Browse our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for useful information about dome hire with us.

Where do you provide this service?

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and anywhere within an approximate 3 mile radius of these areas.

What is needed to set up the dome?

A flat 5mx5m clear garden space and garden power outlet within 8 meters of where you would like us to position the dome.

We can set up on grass or concrete floors.

Why might we ask to arrange a garden visit prior to the day of set up?

This is important in order to identify any underground services, i.e. wires running underground which we need to avoid when anchoring the dome to the ground.

We also need to double check the suitability of the garden – although if you have a flat garden space 5x5m and power outlet this check should run smoothly!

Can I use the projector in the daytime?

Blackout Dome Cover

If you’d like to watch movies in the daytime, we recommend our blackout dome cover for a clearer viewing experience, however, if you plan to watch in the evening at sunset or after the regular dome cover will be suitable.

Can I connect my own video games consoles to the projector?

Yes! The projector has a HDMI port so you can connect games consoles – and we provide a charging tower which you can use to connect it to power.

Do I need my own Netflix or Disney+ account?

Yes, due to the rules of Netflix and Disney+, you must use your own account should you wish to use them. However, we also include a standard DVD player for non-Blu Ray DVDs.

What happens if the weather is extreme?

In extreme winds of 36mph+ gusts, we may have to dismantle the dome early. We have water weights available for moderate winds to hold it down.

If you are in agreement and weather is forecasted to be adverse, we may suggest rearranging to a nearby date.

Do you have public liability insurance?

We have £1m public liability insurance.
